Comedy Class Description:

Our Stand-Up Comedy 101 class offers community members the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of stand-up comedy in a supportive and engaging environment. Over the course of four weeks, participants will explore joke writing, stage presence, and comedic timing. Through a mix of brief lectures, interactive writing exercises, and live practice on stage, the classes will provide the foundation to create and perform your first stand-up routine. Whether you’re looking to pursue comedy or just want to try something new and fun, this class is the perfect place to start. And, for those with prior experience, the class will provide ample time to write, perform, and receive constructive feedback (and tags) from other classmates.

Bio:

Andrea Rossi is a Durango-based comedian who’s style has been described as “hilariously heartbreaking.” She’s won several local comedy competitions, opened for professional comedians like Josh Fournier and Hailey Hackett, and, was named one of the Top Comics to Watch by her mom and therapist.
