Description
Come jam with us! No experience necessary. We welcome beginners to intermediate improvisers. You’ll learn/refresh-your-memory with a new improv skill in the first half of the jam and then we’ll play, play, play in the second half! Guaranteed laughter, stress-release and good times! You must be 18+ for this class. Say “Yes, and!” to this opportunity!
You will learn/remember some of the basic improv concepts including:
- “Yes AND”
- Finding your Authentic Self
- Establishing Presence and Commitment
- Listening (wha’d you say?)

Teacher Profile:
Sarah Syverson: Sarah studied Improvisation and Sketch Writing at Second City in Chicago. She has written, produced, acted and improvised in productions for 20+ years. In 2019/2020 she was the Executive Producer of Purple Fox Conundrum, played the solo lead in Merely Player’s production of Every Brilliant Thing. She is also a Co-Producer for The Raven Narratives, a live storytelling event and podcast. Sarah is currently the Sunflower Theatre Director and deeply appreciates connecting the dots between community, theatre, and creativity. She is passionate about improvisation and storytelling, our fallible humanity, and the quirky and unpredictable ways that we are all connected.
