About Us

The Sunflower Theatre at KSJD presents performing arts, musical, cinematic, and educational events to enrich the cultural experience of a diverse rural audience in the Four Corners Region.

The mission of the organization is to inform, entertain and empower the people of the Four Corners Region with arts, culture and public media service.

Our 105-seat Sunflower Theatre is the only indoor venue in the area designed for multiple use—live music, film, lecture and theatre–open for use year-round. It is located in the recently renovated, historic, Montezuma Valley National Bank Building in Cortez, CO.

2015 marks the Sunflower’s inaugural season.

The Sunflower Theatre is a program of Community Radio Project (CRP), Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Cortez, Colorado that is also the licensee for KSJD Community Radio.  KSJD is a public radio service serving the Four Corners region of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah, including the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and Navajo Nation.
