10th Anniversary Sunflower Theatre FORMAL Variety Show Gala!

Description

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating 10 years of the Sunflower Theatre! Local and regional creatives will take to the stage to share their talents – from musicians to poets to storytellers to standup comics, we’re bringing you a night you won’t want to miss! We will also be honoring our founding Theatre Director, Kim Welty as well as other community members that have built the Sunflower Theatre into what it is today and what it will be tomorrow!

Look for performances from:
  • Marilyn Kroeker, Chris Rasmussen and Jen Paschal singing a (mostly) acapella trio rendition of “This is the Sound of One Voice”
  • Regional spoken word Super Star poet  L.K. (Four Corners Voices Anthology)
  • Laura Ripple and Jenn Morris rocking some hilarious improv!
  • The Infamous Sunflower Troupe actors Josie Loner, Cap Allen, Heidi Brugger and Elizabeth Dickey performing a radio play scene!
  • Cruz Hernandez and LP McKay busting out Raven Narratives true stories from their lives
  • Geneva Toland and Rebecca Favarro leading us in singing together at the top of our lungs for the joy of it!
  • Athena Cabauatan and Elijah American Horse: 8th grade spoken word poets!
  • Laura Ripple letting us laugh out loud with a fantastic standup set!
  • PLUS! A few Sunflower Theatre film shorts (sneak peak: will involve cellos, the Delbert Anderson TRIO tiny desk 2016 performance and THE MOON) to inspire, captivate and make you smile!
  • Tom Yoder will be emceeing for you and possibly dressing up in various outfits along with KSJD staff! A MUST SEE!
Please help us celebrate YOUR COMMUNITY THEATRE! Join us in supporting what it means to be creative in our community!

Wine and appetizers (from Kelly’s Kitchen) will be served

We’re celebrating by getting dressy, whatever that means to you! 🙂
